With 400 pull-out tests, together with a major geotechnical survey carried out for a future + 300MW photovoltaic park, this project was one of the largest undertaken by GMS Internacional in Spain. We are proud of our team, which has had to overcome great challenges due to the demanding timescales of the project and the great logistical deployment required. The geotechnical survey and the subsequent geotechnical and structural assessments included the analysis of steel piles and their interaction with the terrain, the geoelectrical behaviour of the soil, the geotechnical analysis of surface foundations, slope stability, road design and terrain corrosivity, among other aspects. A survey using Mala HDR georadar was also included, far exceeding the reach of the client, to better understand the geological configuration of the inspected area and determine the presence of surface water layers.
